BrowseAbroad is a browser extension built for anyone living between countries. It automatically detects prices on web pages and shows currency conversions on hover.

What it does

  • Detects INR and USD prices on any webpage automatically
  • Shows converted values on hover — no clicking, no tab switching
  • Fetches live exchange rates (cached for 24 hours)
  • Works on Amazon India, Amazon US, Namecheap, Dell India, and more
  • Optional manual rate override if your bank uses a different rate

Built with Claude Code

99% of the extension code was written by Claude Code. The entire Chrome extension — content scripts, service worker, popup UI, price detection logic — was built through conversational prompts describing the problem and testing on real websites.
